Through September into October we have a two photographic exhibitions, Lost in Flowers by Dinah Kazakoff and Portrait of a City by Fanoulla Georgiou.

Lost in Flowers is new collection of images photographed by Dinah Kazakoff. Showing how during a time of darkness and despair that nature still holds out its arms and gives us beauty beyond measure.

Portrait of a City is a new body of work by Fanoulla Georgiou, showing photography, mixed media and poetry, to illustrate the concepts of space, existence and vision.

Her focus is New York, on detailing and observation; she breaks down her subject matter into layers of image, text and colour. From her perspective, everything is viewed as temporary and is a creative exploration of the world she has suddenly found herself in.

The evening will include short films and recollections by Dougie Reid, Bob Douglas and Denise Westwood who lived and worked here in the formative years of Corby as a New Town.

The event will be chaired by Sabine Coady Schäbitz of the New Towns Heritage Research Network and introduced by Billy Dalziel, Heritage Development Officer at Corby Council.

The event is organised by 60 Miles by Road and Rail and the New Towns Heritage Research Network in partnership with Corby Council (North Northants Council).
