In this new collection of paintings Amanda has introduced elements of patterning, experimented with mark making, and worked with gold, silver and copper painted accents. Each painting is circular, which has given her the opportunity to create some striking and interesting compositions.
From Deep Roots Tall Trees
7th – 27th September
Over the past two years, Deep Roots Tall Trees has been exploring the cultural heritage of four migrant communities who have adopted Corby as their home; Scottish, Polish, Latvian and Serbian.
We have learned songs and dances, shared food and stories and would like to invite you to view the exhibition and see, hear, and share some of the things we have discovered.
The exhibition includes a video of Deep Roots Tall Trees Choir and Deep Roots Tall Trees Dancetheatre working with our cultural partners alongside interviews, photographs, national costumes, information, and artwork from the Changing Corby project.
